If you are embarrassed about the way to obtain the Evil Spirit Armor in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, scroll down the article below to find out step by step.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is littered with references to past games in the series, including armor sets that players can seek out and wear. One of the more involved series of challenges that players can find in the game involves traversing several labyrinths to earn the Evil Spirit Armor Set. Each piece of the armor is hidden within its own set of three labyrinths, so players should brace themselves for the long journey ahead.
How to Get the Evil Spirit Greaves in Tears of the Kingdom
The first piece of the Evil Spirit Armor Set can be earned through the completion of the “The North Lomei Prophecy” side quest. Players can find the start of this quest hidden within the North Lomei Labyrinth in northeast Tabantha at the coordinates -0958, 3534, 0324.
Upon reaching the entrance of the labyrinth, players will find a stone tablet written in the Zonai language. A notebook at the small camp nearby translates its message and informs Link that a trail of Hylian Pine Cones marks the path of the researcher through the maze. Following the trail of pine cones will lead to the central chamber containing the Mayaotaki Shrine and a Zonai terminal.
“The North Lomei Prophecy” will begin once players activate the terminal. Players will then need to navigate two more sections of the labyrinth in the sky and in The Depths in order to claim the Evil Spirit Greaves.
How to Get the Evil Spirit Armor in Tears of the Kingdom
Players can receive the Evil Spirit Armor through the “The Lomei Labyrinth Island Prophecy” side quest. As the name implies, the beginning of this quest can be found deep within Lomei Labyrinth Island, which is located off the coast of Akkala at 4655, 3555, 0089 in the most northeasterly part of the map.
Players will find another research notebook outside the labyrinth deciphering the mysterious stone tablet at its entrance. A trail of acorns and nuts will guide Link through the flooded maze to the final chamber with the Igashuk Shrine and a Zonai terminal.
After activating the terminal, players will begin “The Lomei Labyrinth Island Prophecy” and will need to venture to the labyrinth sections above and below to finally receive the Evil Spirit Armor.
How to Get the Evil Spirit Mask in Tears of the Kingdom
The Evil Spirit Mask can be earned by completing the “The South Lomei Prophecy” side quest. Players can begin their journey by venturing to the South Lomei Labyrinth on the eastern edge of Gerudo at -1794, -3334, 0072.
Research notes can be found at the entrance of the labyrinth describing the prophecy of the nearby stone tablet. As with the two previous labyrinths, players can follow the trail of acorns and nuts to the center of the labyrinth to find the Motsusis Shrine and a Zonai terminal.
Activating the Zonai terminal will begin the side quest, and unlock the next section of labyrinth, which is located in the sky. Players must then complete this as well as another section of labyrinth down in the depths to receive the Evil Spirit Mask.
What Does the Evil Spirit Armor Set Do?
The Evil Spirit Armor Set is based on the look of Phantom Ganon in Ocarina of Time and was first introduced to players during the “The Champions’ Ballad” DLC for Breath of the Wild. The armor works just the same way in Tears of the Kingdom, with each piece providing an additional level to Link’s stealth.
Additionally, wearing all three pieces of the armor set grants a matching bonus similar to the upgraded Radiant Armor Set, giving the player proficiency with bone weapons and disguising them from skeletal Stal enemies (although Stalnox will still be able to identify Link easily).
Other than the Hylian Hood, the Evil Spirit Armor is also the only piece of armor that gives Link a cape that billows in the wind.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for the Nintendo Switch.
