Hogwarts Legacy players will run into Zenobia while exploring Hogwarts Castle, and she will task the player with finding her Gobstones. Refer to the guidelines for Sidequest Gobs of Gobstones in Hogwarts Legacy in the article below.
The main quest of Hogwarts Legacy is expansive and will take players quite a while to complete, but there are also plenty of side quests to distract the player from their adventure.
Zenobia Noke is one character players will run into that will offer a side quest, specifically one called “Gobs of Gobstones.” This is one of the earliest quests available in the game, and it will see players running all around Hogwarts grounds looking for the character’s stolen Gobstones. Going into this quest blind can be difficult, especially since the Gobstones are a little difficult to spot at times.
“Gobs of Gobstones” is a side quest, meaning it isn’t required for players to complete it in order to progress in the story of Hogwarts Legacy. Still, completing the quest rewards players with valuable experience and a wand handle to further empower their character. Zenobia looks rather young and is most likely a first or second-year student, so she needs the help of a fifth-year student like the player to get her Gobstones back.
Updated on May 8, 2023: Hogwarts Legacy is now available for PS4 and Xbox-One, meaning a whole new set of witches and wizards will be diving into the game. Hogwarts Castle is vast and can be confusing to explore, and finding six tiny Gobstones in Hogwarts Legacy is even more difficult. Players will have to do just that if they want to complete “Gobs of Gobstones” and help find all of Zenobia’s Gobstones.
Zenobia’s Gobstone Locations in Hogwarts Legacy
To start the “Gobs of Gobstones” sidequest, players need to find and talk to Zenobia Noke in the Defense Against the Dark Arts Tower. She can be found standing near the stairs next to the nearby courtyard. If players are having trouble locating her, just listen for her asking for help from an older student.
After agreeing to help her find the Gobstones, players will need to start looking for them. The best way to do this is to track the quest and then use the Charmed Compass. It will lead players to the general area where a Gobstone can be found, and players can be sure there is one nearby when their character says, “I’d better keep an eye on high places around the school for Zenobia’s Gobstones.”
Zenobia’s Gobstone #1
The first of Zenobia’s Gobstone can be found right outside in the courtyard near where players talked to Zenobia to start the quest. After hearing the player character’s voice line, look around and up to locate the Gobstone. It can be found on top of the covered outdoor hallway, glowing, as shown in the picture above. Hogwarts Legacy players should use the Accio spell to claim it.
Zenobia’s Gobstone #2
The second Gobstone is found very high up in the castle. Follow the Charmed Compass, and it should take players up a series of stairs past Hogwarts Legacy’s Divination classroom.
Though it may be tempting to climb the ladder in search of the Gobstone, it is actually found on the chandelier hanging over the stairs the player just climbed. Once again, use Accio to get the Gobstone off the chandelier shown in the picture above.
Zenobia’s Gobstone #3
Now head back down the stairs and onto the nearby rafters. The third of Zenobia’s Gobstones can be found at eye level on a wooden beam on the other side of the railing. This is near where players learn how to open Arithmancy doors in Hogwarts Legacy. The picture above should help players find the Gobstone.
Zenobia’s Gobstone #4
The next Gobstone is a bit of a walk, so players will want to use the Charmed Compass to find it again.
Following the glowing path should lead players to the Ravenclaw Tower and eventually to a blue hallway with large pillars and arches. Look up at the third pillar on the right, and players should see the Gobstone glistening and waiting for an Accio spell to bring it down.
Zenobia’s Gobstone #5
To find the fifth of Zenobia’s Gobstone, head to the Grand Staircase and go all the way up to the trophy room. Players will pass several suits of armor, an armored knight, and an impressive-looking, very large suit of armor. Thankfully, these ones don’t come to life and attack the player like the armor-suit enemies at the beginning of Hogwarts Legacy. Just past these, the Gobstone can be found atop the window frame shown above.
Zenobia’s Gobstone #6
The final Gobstone isn’t far from the fifth one, as players simply need to make a sharp right turn into the main area of the trophy room. The Gobstone can be found on a shelf surrounded by other trophies on the far side of the room. Players having trouble spotting it should look for the occasional glow the Gobstones give off.
Return to Zenobia With the Gobstones
At this point, players should have all six Gobstones Hogwarts Legacy has to offer and can start heading back to Zenobia. It may be challenging to find her after running around so much in search of her Gobstones, but she is still found in the same place by the stairs in the Defense Against the Dark Arts Tower.
Players can either run back there by following their Charmed Compass or use Floo Flames to fast travel to a nearby location. After talking with Zenobia, players are presented with a choice.
Should You Give Zenobia Her Gobstones Back or Keep Them?
Zenobia will politely ask for her Gobstones back after the player tells her they have found them all, but players aren’t required to return them. Whether players choose to give them back or to keep them, the rewards for the quest are the same.
Specifically, players will earn some experience and the “Orbicular – Violet,” a wand handle used to customize Hogwarts Legacy players’ wands. Keeping the Gobstones doesn’t actually give them to the player as an item or anything like that; it just seems to upset Zenobia.
It’s recommended that players return the Hogwarts Legacy Gobstones for this reason unless they are playing a mean/evil character on purpose. That said, this decision has no impact on Zenobia’s relationship with the player in the future, as she isn’t a recurring character.
