For players who love collecting apples in Zelda, this article will disclose ingenious methods for gathering apples in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
A creative The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player discovers a way to gather apples that saves minutes of time per collection. Using this method in Tears of the Kingdom eliminates the need to cut down trees or even leave the ground to collect these heart-replenishing items.
It’s common to hear fans talk about how much they enjoy Tears of the Kingdom, but many will admit that there are small aspects during gameplay that can be tedious. One of those aspects is collecting apples from trees. If a player spots a golden apple in Tears of the Kingdom, they will most likely grab it immediately, but for a common apple tree, many players will just run by it.
This is because of how time-consuming and monotonous it can be to cut down each tree or climb each one individually to pick every apple one by one. However, thanks to a recent clip on Reddit, the average Tears of the Kingdom player may never run past an apple tree again.
Reddit user ParadoxGuard has shared with the world a way to instantly collect apples from trees using the Zonai ability Autobuild. Autobuild is an ability that may not be as big of a game changer as the Fuse ability in Tears of the Kingdom, but in the clip, ParadoxGuard manages to use a custom Autobuild preset to collect all the apples in the area.
Not only that, but due to the nature of the ability, the group of collected apples are conveniently placed in a single stack in front of the player. The entire process lasts less than 20 seconds.
In order to pull this trick off, the player will need to advance the story in a particular direction to unlock Autobuild in Tears of the Kingdom. Once the ability is unlocked, the player will need to first create the preset build for the ability to draw from. This will involve knocking down 15 or so apples the traditional way, then using the Ultrahand ability to stick all of the apples together into one single group.
Once the group of apples is built, Autobuild will remember it, and the player just needs to add the build to their favorites list to use it in the future. The key to using this trick is to cancel the build while the apples are in the air so that the player doesn’t end up with a group of apples stuck together.
One Reddit user took this trick to another level in the comments by suggesting lighting a fire next to the group of apples to roast all of them at the same time. Roasted apples will stack inside the food menu, so after the player consumes one of the best food recipes in Tears of the Kingdom, they can quickly eat a few roasted apples to get to full health.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available now for the Nintendo Switch.
